For nearly 30 years,
Bae's has helped children reach their potentials, and go beyond
what they could have imagined for themselves. Students have
started with us as children and remained students into their
adult years.
Our children's program follows a very similar curriculum to that
of our adults class. This ensures that students will have the
appropriate knowledge when they move on to the junior and adult
classes. We understand that children learn differently, and so
our children's classes have been geared more to their age and
ability.
Although the classes are fun, we still maintain the quality of
instruction, and the emphasis on discipline and hard work that
is important despite age level.
What you can
expect for your children:

 |

"My goal is to become the best person I can be.
I will achieve this objective by disciplining my body to
overcome obstacles that hinder my positive growth.
I know this will take discipline.
I am ready to make this commitment to myself in order to
become the best person I can be and to share this progress
with others. " |

A Positive Healthy Environment
At Bae's Martial Arts the emphasis is on non-competitive personal
development. Our approach has its roots in the ancient origin of
martial arts as it was founded by eastern leaders. They used martial
arts as a means of building self-mastery, concentration and
discipline.
This
approach distinguishes the M.O.D system from many common types of
contemporary martial arts. (Schools where the emphasis is on
competitive combat.)
The
individual skills, sequences and variations of the M.O.D. program
are quite challenging, but fun and easy to learn. It requires great
concentration and determination to learn. As students continue
practicing, their ability to concentrate increases.
Each
student is constantly challenged - but never beyond his or her level
of ability. As a result your child is never bored or frustrated.
Each student continually discovers that he or she is always capable
of more.
Clean and Safe
The atmosphere and facilities are like a classroom, not a gym. At
Bae's we use the highest rated safety equipment. It protects your
child and helps make mastering martial arts worry-free and fun.
All
M.O.D. instructors are professionals who, in addition to martial
arts expertise, may be trained and certified in the M.O.D. System.
Building Self-Esteem
More than ever, kids need self-esteem and discipline to achieve
personal balance and realize their full potential. In today's busy,
fragmented world, accomplishing this is more difficult than ever.
What is needed is a forum that provides the focus, method, patience,
and reinforcement kids need to overcome the difficult hurdles on the
way to self-confidence.
That
is why the M.O.D. program was developed. A key to success of the
M.O.D. program is the knowledge that physical fitness and mastery
greatly contribute to self-esteem. When these are linked to a
structured system of goals, progress comes rapidly, clearly and
without compromise, so that children gather a personal momentum
which fuels itself.
As a
result, the confidence and discipline that many M.O.D. students
discover helps them organize their lives more effectively. They tend
to do homework regularly and achieve higher grades, keep themselves
and their rooms neater, contribute at home, and treat others with
greater respect because they respect themselves. Teens and adults
are not surprised to find that they have increased energy, better
concentration and more control over their lives.
Learning Center: Respect
This instruction begins with respect. Respect for the instructor,
respect for other students, respect for the order and cleanliness of
the facilities and respect for self. The M.O.D. system is organized
according to a highly disciplined series of goals. Students begin by
learning specific position and techniques and then sequences of
moves. Basic accomplishments come quite rapidly. As the student
masters a specific program of skills he or she moves up to the next
level and can set new long term goals.
There
are nine major levels of achievement in the M.O.D. system, ranging
from the White Belt of the beginner to the famous Black Belt of the
expert. Every M.O.D. student has the opportunity to earn a Black
Belt. This is because ranks are based on the development of the
skills which are independent of age or physical stature.
|
Smart and Street Safe
M.O.D. students are seldom, if ever bullied or pushed around by
other kids. This does not come from their fighting ability. Rather,
it comes from the inner strength and confidence they project.
M.O.D.
students are taught to never bully others or to fight - unless they
must do so for self-defense purposes.
M.O.D.
programs help children and adults to cope with the difficulties of
today's society.
